The Times of Israel hacked by Akinciler group

On the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the Turkish Hackers hacked The Times of Israel website on Thursday morning, November 2, 2017.

The website homepage featured an image of Palestinian child waiving Turkish flag and vowed in Turkish “even if we remain the only people in the world, we will still defend Gaza and Palestine.

Underneath, there is a Quan Verse from Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 57 written in Turkish, Arabic and English that read “And we shaded you with clouds and sent down to you manna and quails, [saying], “Eat from the good things with which we have provided you.” And they wronged us not – but they were [only] wronging themselves.”

The page was signed by the pro AKP group Akincilar which hacked several other websites in the last few months.

The Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued by the British Government during the First World War in support to the establishment of the national home for the Jewish people in Palestine.
